28 Slow Cooker Recipes
Is eating at home one of your New Year Resolutions? After a long day at work, or running kids around from one activity to the next, thinking about what to cook for dinner can be a daunting task.
I read recently that to keep a New Year’s Resolution on track after January, you should have a goal with a date of completion set, and outlined steps to achieve the goal.
If consistent meal planning, cooking at home, or having family meals around a dinner table is one of your New Year’s Resolution… Let me revive your resolution for February! I have listed 28 Slow Cooker Recipes that will make dinner at home in February a cinch.
Who doesn’t love having dinner waiting on you when you arrive home each evening? Most of these recipes can be just served with a quick side salad or an easy steamed veggie.
Make February Meal Planning a Success
- Use a monthly calendar for meal planning like this easy downloadable/printable calendar.
- The last week of the month, plan your meal for the next month using a calendar.
- If you don’t want to cook at home every night, plan for these nights as well. It will save on the lengthy “Where do you want to go?” conversations.
- Each week take the time to write out what ingredients you will need for the upcoming week.
- Pick a day each week to go grocery shopping. Make grocery shopping fun. Take a friend, spouse, or one of the kids. Preferably one that will not drive you nuts while shopping. Make grocery shopping an event! Grab a coffee or a favorite beverage to take with you while you shop and schedule plenty of time so you aren’t rushed.
- If the whole month is overwhelming, try one week at a time
and then work your way up to two weeks, and so on.
