21 Mexican Fiesta Recipes
Looking to spice up your traditional Christmas party? Why not through a Posada Party or Fiesta and celebrate the season like they do south of the border?!
We spent the week of Thanksgiving in Mexico last month. We had a marvelous time resting in the sun, exploring, and eating. However, due to our location, our Thanksgiving dinner was a little out of the norm.
Instead of turkey and dressing we feasted on lobster and steak, tacos al pastor, tamales, and ceviche. It was pretty heavenly, I have to say.
On several occasions we had the opportunity to share our regular Thanksgiving traditions with new friends who were very curious about the concept behind the feast.
In return they shared some of their holiday traditions with us. I loved hearing about the Posada pre-Christmas parties thrown around Mexico and thought it would be fun to throw our own Mexican Fiesta this year.
If pinatas, margaritas, and Mexican food recipes are right up your alley, consider throwing your own posada party or fiesta this Christmas.

Thanks for sharing these great Mexican food recipes! My family loves to eat Mexican food every Tuesday, and we’ve made it a kind of tradition. I’m always looking for new dishes to try, and I’m very excited to try this green chili steak taco recipe!
Wow, those green chile steak tacos look absolutely amazing! My husband and I really love to go out to eat for Mexican food so we have thought about trying a few recipes of our own. We both have a real passion for cooking so it would be really fun to branch out and try cooking new things. A lot of our inspiration comes from eating out and different restaurants. We will have to try some of these recipes out and see how well we do with them. Thanks for sharing!
Perfect timing! My sister and I host Christmas Eve dinner for our whole family and we were just talking about changing it up a bit this year. Thanks for the ideas and recipes :)
