On a recent trip to Harry Potter World in Orlando, we decided to taste-test several of the popular beverages offered in Diagon Alley. To our surprise, it wasn’t the famous Butterbeer that caught our attention, but the Pumpkin Juice!
Our whole family loved the chilled Harry Potter Pumpkin Juice so much that we decided to make our own copycat version at home…. Turns out, it is super easy!
Copycat Harry Potter Pumpkin Juice
What makes Harry Potter Pumpkin Juice special is that it isn’t just a pumpkin drink. Instead, this is a juice blend containing pumpkin, apple, nectarine (or peach), and a few key baking spices. It’s sweet, kissed with fall spice, and tastes like fall.
After MANY test runs and tastings, this is the combination that best represents Harry Potter World and keeps my family coming back for more. I have a feeling I’ll even be making batches in the spring and summer!
Our chilled pumpkin juice recipe is a snap to blend up like magic in only a few minutes and is sure to make muggles and wizards alike happy.
Serve this non-alcoholic beverage at holiday parties, theme parties, or as a base for festive grownup beverages with a shot of spiced rum, or bourbon!
Ingredients You Need
- Apricot nectar – or peach nectar
- Apple cider – not apple juice
- Pumpkin puree – 100% pure pumpkin, not pumpkin pie filling
- Brown sugar – for a sweet but mellow, warm taste
- Vanilla extract – brings all of the sweetness together
- Pumpkin pie spice – to give the drink that true fall flavor
- Salt – just a pinch to balance the sweetness
How to Make Harry Potter Pumpkin Juice in Just 5 Minutes
First, set out a blender. (Alternatively, you can make this recipe using a stick blender and large drink container.)
Measure all the ingredients into the blender jar. Cover and purée for 30 to 60 seconds to dissolve the sugar.
Transfer to a serving pitcher and chill in the refrigerator until ready to drink.
Serve as-is or pour over ice and enjoy!
