Hi Laura,

Personally, I wouldn’t do that. The beef will have a much better texture if you cook it on the stovetop. Plus, it’s so quick to make on the stovetop, if would take more effort converted to a crockpot recipe.

I couldn’t find any Szechuan peppercorns at my grocery stores or Asian markets but I did add some gojuchang paste for an extra kick and I highly recommend it.

Hi Joan,

If you can’t find szechuan peppercorns, you can add crushed red pepper to taste. It won’t offer the same numbing sensation, but will definitely bring the heat. :)
