Holiday Wine Punch
Our festive Holiday Wine Punch is a large batch cocktail to share with all your party guests this season! These festive Wine Cocktails blends red wine with seasonal fruits like oranges and cranberries and is infused with warm spices like cinnamon and ginger for a cozy, aromatic drink!

How are you holding up this holiday season? Are you keeping your stress levels in check?
We are planning a neighborhood Christmas party next week. Instead of making a lavish spread that will take me days to prepare, I’ve opted to cook several pots of our favorite soups that I can make ahead and reheat.
Then I’ll have bread, treats, crocks of apple cider wassail and hot chocolate for the kids, and simple large-batch Holiday Wine Punch Cocktails for the grown-ups.
Wine Punch
I’ve learned over the years that it’s not worth the pressure we put on ourselves to make “showy” food, when our guests will be just as happy with well-made comfort food and good drinks, like this cranberry punch.
Especially when cooking for a large crowd.
Large batch cocktails, like this Wine Punch, are crowd-pleasers that are boozy enough to help the adults relax, yet not so boozy that you will need to collect car keys.
Large Batch Wine Cocktails
Today’s recipe, Holiday Wine Punch, is a simple 5-ingredient beverage made in less than 5 minutes.
It requires only:
- Red wine
- Cran-apple juice
- Orange juice
- Ginger beer (or strong ginger ale)
- Vanilla extract
This Red Wine Punch is perky, with deep holiday undertones from the wine, ginger and vanilla.
How To Make Wine Cocktails
The beauty of punch making, is its simplicity. Just dump and serve!
You can dump-and-serve this punch as-is, or dress up your punch bowl with orange slices, fresh cranberries, and cinnamon sticks!
Notice I used a good boxed wine in this wine punch recipe.
Since it’s blended with other ingredients, there’s no need to buy expensive bottled wine, if you find a boxed brand you like!
Make Large Batch Holiday Punch – Save Money & Waste
With boxed wine, the packaging costs less so the wine usually costs less. Plus, you can recycle the cartons just like wine bottles.
I’ve noticed, people often remember to recycle their glass and plastic bottles, yet forget they can recycle cartons as well.
Large Batch Wine Cocktails Variations
Our easy wine punch can be adjusted to your preferences…
- Instead of red wine, use dry wine wine or rosรฉ!
- Skip the cran-apple juice and add grape juice, or white grape juice instead.
- Omit the ginger ale and add Sprite or 7UP.
- Make ice mold garnishes to keep the punch bowl cold!
What’s The Best Sized Punch Bowl to Use?
When making a big batch of my Holiday Wine Punch Cocktail, I recommend opting for a large punch bowl.
You can check out this list of the best punch bowls, but my favorite is this pretty crystal from Viski for less than $80 on Amazon, while this 12-quart bowl is another great option.

I think cranberries still work after Christmas! and they have some anti-oxidant power too, so much appreciated
I love how easy this punch is to prepare. ย And thank you for the reminder that cartons can also be recycled. I will be adding those to our bin of water bottles from now on.
