Fresh and Fabulous 4 Ingredient Basil Beet Juice Recipe (Blender Juice) on ASpicyPerspective.com #juice

We have gone through the gamut of blenders over the years. Our blender is our most used countertop appliance, so I tend to be a little particular about it.

We’ve tried the inexpensive “As Seen on TV” blenders that last only a couple months, to high-end investment blenders that promise big results, yet often fall short.

The blender I have been the most happy with, so far, is the KitchenAid 5-Speed Diamond Blender. A versatile blender with a whole lot of power for the price point. In fact, after using it for a week, I packed up my blender that cost 3 times as much and stored it away as a back up. Recently though, KitchenAid came out with a new blender I was really excited to try.

KitchenAid Torrent Blender - 4 Ingredient Basil Beet Juice Recipe (Blender Juice) on ASpicyPerspective.com #juice

About a year ago I saw the Torrent Magnetic Drive Blender at a food show and have been watching and waiting ever since.

This new KitchenAid blender is a true marvel in technology! The blade doesn’t go through the bottom of the jar attaching it to the base, like most blenders. Instead, when the blender jar is locked into place, magnetic force spins the blade. That means it can’t leak from the bottom of the jar over time.

The lock system safely holds the covered jar in place so there’s no need to hold your hand over the top out of fear of the lid popping off. It’s just not possible! I can’t tell you what a relief that is. I’ve scrubbed the ceiling one too many times after the kids used our blender for smoothies.

How to Make 4 Ingredient Basil Beet Juice Recipe (Blender Juice) on ASpicyPerspective.com #juice

There are four pre-set functions for making perfect icy drinks, smoothies, soups and sauce, and juice, plus a pulse setting. You also have the ability to adjust the power from low and smooth to high and frothy, as needed.

If you forget to add something to the blender, no problem! The ingredient funnel on top makes it easy to drop extra items in while the blender is whizzing away. It’s also great for no-mess oil drizzling for dressings and sauces.

I’m sold guys. The KitchenAid Torrent Magnetic Drive Blender is my new favorite countertop appliance.

It’s gorgeous, super sleek, ingeniously designed, easy to use, easy to clean, and can blast through anything I put in it. The kids love using it as well, and I don’t feel the need to hover over them while their creative juices are flowing.

Best 4 Ingredient Basil Beet Juice Recipe (Blender Juice) on ASpicyPerspective.com #juice

Making blender juice is one of my favorite things. I hate keeping unnecessary appliances around the house and decided to give away my juicer a while ago. If you have a great blender and a sieve, there’s just no need for a juicer.

This summer I’ve been making all sorts of blender juices using our home-grown produce. Right now, I have tons of fresh basil growing in my container garden as well as ripe beets.

Fresh and Simple 4 Ingredient Basil Beet Juice Recipe (Blender Juice) on ASpicyPerspective.com #juice

I love adding beets to juice, because they provide a rich tantalizing color that no one can resist, as well as vitamins and minerals. The basil adds a sweet herby note, complemented by the addition of one apple and a few carrots. #CantGetEnough

This Basil Beet Juice Recipe is a great way to showcase the power of the KitchenAid Torrent Magnetic Drive Blender, because there’s no need to peel or dice the produce. This blender can puree right on through. Just cut the produce into manageable sized chunks and pop them in the blender. Then add some water to help the juice along and turn the dial to the juice setting. In just moments you have glorious magenta goodness ready for sipping.

You could drink this basil beet juice as-is, however there is quite a bite of pulp involved. So I like to pour the juice through a sieve or strainer to remove the extra pulp. Then drink immediately or store in the fridge for up to a week.

    • Hi Lori,

Because it’s juice, and not baked goods, the proportions can fluctuate a bit. I buy 1 pound bunches of beets that usually have 3 beets per bunch. As for apples, go for average-sized apples.
