The blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cayenne pepper adds a unique depth of flavor. As a coffee consultant with Rossette Coffee, I truly appreciate Sommer Collier’s insightful recipe. Keep up the excellent work, Sommer!

Have a cold at the moment, and wanted something to help clear my sinuses! Not only did this do the trick, but it was delicious! Highly recommend.

I first had a Mexican mocha at a wedding with a coffee bar.  Your recipe is sooo good, with the exception that we cut the cayenne to only a rounded 1/4 tsp to reduce the hefty kick to just a slight tingle, which matches what we had.  LOVE the cinnamon and nutmeg!  Have saved the recipe for the future!!

The Mexican Mocha Recipe is my all-time favorite recipe. I have tried many different coffee grinders, but the Portable Coffee Grinder is the best for all recipes. The grinder is small and easy to use, and it makes a perfect grind for Mexican Mocha. The coffee grounds are evenly ground, and there is no waste. The grinder is also very affordable, and it is a great value for the money.

Hi Moe,

You can! However, depending on what sugar substitute you like to use, you will have to experiment a little with the proportions. They are not all equal swaps for granulated or powdered sugar, but they do usually have a pretty good guide on the packaging.

Hi J,

Hmmm, can you tell what specifically you are feeling? Sometimes I find it is best to grate whole nutmeg, rather than use the pre-ground variety.

My spice is too coarse it seems. I physically get the spice in my drink. What type/brand are you all using so it’ll easily dissolve and not still be physically present but I only taste the flavor profile not the actual grainy spice. Thanks!!!

I am curious to know if I can use a sugar substitute for powdered sugar? Otherwise this was amazing!
