“The Dude” White Russian Floats
Just in time for Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, I’m sharing a secret guilty pleasure, “The Dude” White Russian Floats. BOOM.
Whether you’re a fan of “The Dude” from the classic movie The Big Lebowski, who always had an iced White Russian clinking in his hand. Or simply a fan of White Russian Cocktails themselves…
I’ve got an extreme naughty-but-nice treat for you today!
This 3 ingredient wonder is a fabulous cocktail for the holidays when we’re all willing to splurge a little.
To make “The Dude” White Russian Floats, all you need is:
- Vodka
- Kahlua
- Ice Cream
Easy enough, right?
After all, a traditional White Russian Recipe is simply a mixture of vodka, kahlua, heavy cream, and ice. So why not substitute ice cream for the cream and ice??
You can use vanilla ice cream to offer a more traditional taste, or up the ante with Java Chip (coffee and chocolate) ice cream.
I choose the latter.
The foamy sweetness from the ice cream, and the occasional chocolate chunk, make “The Dude” White Russian Floats a party sensation this holiday season!
With 4.5 ounces of liquor in each float, I think “The Dude” himself would fully approve.
I can just imagine him holding one of these babies, while laying flat out on his rug.
Sounds like the perfect way to celebrate. *wink*
"The Dude" White Russian Floats
Ingredients
- 2 ounces vodka
- 2.5 ounces Kahlua coffee liqueur
- 1 scoop vanilla ice cream, or Java Chip like I used!
Instructions
- Pour the vodka and Kahlua in a tumbler.
- Add the ice cream, stir, and enjoy!!

With it being the holidays I would use eggnog or eggnog ice cream! YUM!!
