The simplest version of overnight oats requires only equal portions of old fashioned oats and milk. Just mix them together in a small 8 ounce canning jar, cover, and refrigerate overnight.

By morning the oats have absorbed the milk and created a silky oatmeal texture.

You can eat your overnight oats cold or take off the lid and warm it in the microwave. You can take your jar on-the-go for breakfast in the car or a mid-morning snack.

  4. I tried this! It was not my favorite. But that might be because I did not add the coffee. It smelled good, but it was not as sweet as I hoped it would be. Maybe add more honey next time?
