love this recipe and so did co workers. Have made it a few times for them. Its so creamy and light. Yellow cake mix is perfect flavor for the added bananas. i sometimes add just coolwhip to the top with crushed wafers or i make a whipping cream with creamcheese added and powdered sugar. Great recipe

Hi Bonnie,

Sorry about that. When I go to the link it takes me to an Amazon page with an assortment of instant vanilla pudding options. The 5.1oz box is larger than the standard box. I do see it there. If needed, use this link: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=5.1+oz+instant+vanilla+pudding&crid=YJ0P988WWVV3&sprefix=5.1+oz+instant+vanilla+pudding%2Caps%2C122&linkCode=ll2&tag=aspiper-20&linkId=a7d69e7021725d0a2af814151b6bfb43&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl

I just got home from the store. The sugar free box is 1.5 ounce and the regular is 5.1 ounce. Kind of weird the numbers invert like that :). The boxes are both for 6 servings (1/2 cup each).

It shows a 1.5 ounce box. Is the regular pudding box actually 5.1 ounces or did you invert your numbers in the recipe? Just making sure the six 1/2 cup serving size box is the correct size.
Can’t wait to make this!

This cake was delicious looking & tasted good too!! Originally wanted banana pudding but bananas weren’t firm enough so…… Viola!!!!
Found another way to use up bananas instead of always making bread.
The cake was moist & fluffy  and I could definitely taste & see the bananas!!! I added a pinch of vanilla to make it my own version. My Granny would be proud… I’ve got that cooking notch from her.😀
