Carson’s Stevia Lemonade
How To Make Lemonade with Stevia – Our son’s fast, fresh beverage made with zero-calorie sweetener.

Why We Love Stevia Lemonade
My son Carson is 12 years old, and an absolute sweet tooth. For years, he has come home from school and immediately started sifting through the pantry, hunting for a sweet snack.
When no sugar is to be found he’ll ask, “Can I make lemonade?”
Me: “Baby, you don’t need all that sugar.”
Carson: “How about “Stevia Lemonade??”
I always give in.
After all, stevia is a natural zero-calorie sweetener that tames his sweet tooth, at least until the next day.
Due to Carson’s persistent routine of hunting for sugary snacks, then making himself a beverage, he has gotten to be very very good at making Stevia Lemonade.
So much so, that I thought I’d share his recipe with you today.
How To Make Lemonade
Honestly, Carson’s Stevia Lemonade is just as good as classic lemonade, without the guilt and the sugar high. When using stevia in place of sugar, always add half the amount because stevia is very strong.
- Pour the lemon juice into a pitcher. Stir the stevia into the lemon juice and continue stirring until the stevia has completely dissolved into the juice.
- Add the water, and stir well. Add ice and enjoy!

Carson’s Tips
Carson would tell you it’s important to mix the lemon juice and stevia together first, before adding the water.
The acidity of the lemon juice breaks down the stevia quickly, allowing it to dissolve smoothly.
Stevia Lemonade has become a favorite in our house. We are sure your kids (or you) will love it too!
Lemonade Add-Ins
Make this recipe your own by adding unique flavor to the lemonade.
- Vanilla extract – try stirring in 1 teaspoon of vanilla to boost the flavor.
- Lavender buds – mix in fresh garden lavender buds to create a tangy floral note.
- Mint or basil – add fresh sprigs of herbs at the end.

Sugar Twin stevia can be used spoon for spoon ;works in any drinks Iโve tried. But it contains EAYTHRITOL ย which is why it isnโt too sweet, but which you might choose to avoid.
I really enjoy this recipe. Thank you for sharing.
Exactly what I’ve been looking for. Thank you Carson and Carson’s mom, Sommer! I have all these lemons because I like keeping them in the kitchen but don’t want them to go to waste. And like Carson, I have a major sweet tooth but I’m on a strict diet.
I’ve always loved good, tart lemonade, but also am someone who must keep an eye on his sugar intake and waistline. As such, I’ve found this to be a great recipe. I enjoy lemonade throughout the year, even in winter. Thanks to Carson for coming up with this idea.
Fabulous! Best ever! Wonderful recipe! It’s gonna be 95ยฐ tomorrow & this lemonade will be a super hit! Thank you.
