Absolutely! You can omit the capers, or swap them for extra olives. Whichever you prefer. :)

One of my favorite sandwiches – just need to add mortadella to it and you are set. Great for football Sundays when the gang is over. Had it first in New Orleans and made it when back home and wowed the friends! If you have a good Italian deli/bakery in town like Milwaukee does you can buy the muffuletta bread round fresh.
