Ingredients You Need
- Oil – choose a light flavored oil like vegetable, grapeseed, or avocado oil
- Apple cider vinegar
- Texas Pete Hot Sauce – or your favorite hot sauce
- Dijon mustard
- Honey – or agave
- Salt and pepper
I use Texas Pete because it offers classic hot sauce flavor, that so many of us love. But you could substitute your favorite hot sauce in this recipe.
How to Make Texas Pete Vinaigrette
- Add all of the ingredients in a glass jar with a screw-on lid. Or you can place them in a medium bowl to mix by hand. I suggest starting with the lowest amount of hot sauce suggested in the recipe card. Then taste and increase the amount as you like.
- Screw on the lid and shake vigorously. (Or whisk if making in a bowl.) Give the hot sauce salad dressing a taste, and adjust ingredients as needed.
- Drizzle immediately over your salad, or keep sealed and store in the fridge until ready to serve.

I just made this dressing and let me say it was very good! The only things I did different was I cut the oil in half and doubled the vinegar. I went with the larger amounts suggested for the honey and hot sauce. Yum! Thanks for the great recipe!
