About A Spicy Perspective
A Spicy Perspective was created in 2010. It started from a local cooking class called Confidence In The Kitchen in the mountain town of Asheville, North Carolina.
The purpose of this website is firmly grounded in the original purpose of our class:
- To help you find success in your kitchen, no matter your skill level. When you build confidence, you eliminate anxiety. (And sometimes even develop a love for cooking!)
- To help you feed your loved ones well. Your time at the table is valuable. Great meals together make positive and powerful memories.
A Spicy Perspective is an extension of the class, and a puree of our personal and kitchen journals. Over the last 15 years, it has morphed into a cooking resource for millions of people worldwide. The recipes we share are tested and used in our family kitchen. Most are tested many (many) times before they ever make it to our recipe catalog.
We hope you enjoy them!
